About the Position: Serves as SHARP Program Support Services Specialist, responsible for planning and coordinating a variety of services functions that are principally work-supporting.

Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain administrative practices that comply with Department of the Army (DA) and Major Command (MACOM) guidance to create efficient and effective organization business processes. Supports the SHARP Program’s organizational activities for business process management, enterprise architecture, business intelligence, enterprise portfolio management, and cost management. Develops, analyzes, and evaluates organizational policies; applies appropriate best practices from existing doctrine and emerging industry business practices. Schedules/reschedules appointments, meetings, briefings, conferences, social events and other engagements with senior-level U.S., foreign national government officials, and private sector equivalents. Uses initiative, discretion, judgement and in-depth knowledge of SHARP Program priorities, historically recurring events and personal preferences to manage leadership’s day-to-day and long-range calendars.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • TDY (Travel) may be required up to 25% of the time for this position.
  • Background checks against all records required by law, Office of Personnel Management, DoD, and Army policy or regulation will be conducted prior to entering on duty in the position. Checks will be performed on a recurring basis while employed.
  • Minimum of a favorable suitability determination on a Tier 3 background investigation. Incumbents in these positions are required to self-report civilian arrests, and/or convictions of any criminal offense to their supervisors and security office.
  • Must attend and graduate from required SHARP training courses within six months of employment.
  • Must maintain an active D-SAACP certification and up-to-date commander appointment orders prior to having any victim contact or access to victim information.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to operate a motor vehicle should the need arise to operate a government vehicle/motor pool vehicle.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
