You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SPECIALIST in the Office of the Inspector General of NAVAL INFORMATION WARFARE SYSTEMS COMMAND.

Duties

You will independently plans, conducts, and prepares reports of administrative inspector general investigations of fraud, waste, or mismanagement in response to hotline complaints or management referrals. You will investigate and analyzes allegations for compliance with laws, regulations, and directives. You will be responsible for conducting highly complex, sensitive investigations that often involve both very senior managers, supervisors, and staff personnel and highly technical subject matter. You will independently plans the investigation, conducts necessary research regarding allegations (consults counsel as necessary), preparing a detailed investigative plan/outline of proof designed to ensure thorough investigation of each allegation. You will prepare reports of Command Evaluation Reviews of operations and functions to ensure that personnel, equipment, and financial resources are employed in compliance with laws, regulations and directives.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, preparing, or executing steps necessary to completing hotline investigations including intake, investigative plan, and outline of proof; and determine scope, methodology, sampling, preparing review plan, and testing for command evaluation.
