Duties

This position is located under the Office of Field Operations, Newark Field Division located in Newark, New Jersey. The primary purpose of this position is to perform investigative research, analysis, and administrative functions in support of the Bureau's law enforcement or regulatory mission.

Qualifications

To qualify for GS-09, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-07. Additional Conditions of Employment: GS-09 - You qualify if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal, State, or Local government or equivalent public or private sector experience, performing the following duties: Providing investigative or inspection support; AND Assisting with trend analysis, analyses and statistical studies for any organization; AND Summarizing reports and extracting essential intelligence information to create cohesive reports for superiors and for obtaining manipulating data from a variety of investigative data bases. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university; or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.B. or J.D degree, if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position, examples of qualifying fields include Criminal Justice, Psychology, Homeland Security, etc. (MUST SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS). OR Combination of education and experience as listed above. (MUST SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS).
