Duties
You will install refrigeration and air conditioning systems by positioning compressors, motors, condensers, humidifiers, evaporators and other components.
You will install and connect auxiliary and control mechanisms, piping, tubing, recording and gauging devices.
You will start units and adjust for proper cut-in and cut-out refrigerating units, humidifiers, air cleaners and circulating pumps.
You will maintain refrigeration and air conditioning systems by checking performance and determining cause of any system failures and repairing, adjusting and/or replacing defective component(s).
You will repair and overhaul refrigeration and air conditioning plant components by disassembling, inspecting, replacing defective parts and reassembles, adjusts and tests to optimum operating parameters.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- This position requires CFC/NCFC Certification (universal) as required by 40 CFR Part 82, Subpart Fl, EPA, and 410A Certification. Must have completed training and must be certified.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires rotating shift work.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
