This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Government Contract Business Development - HQ in the Office of Certification and Eligibility located in King of Prussia, PA. Processes applications for certification and/or conducts periodic compliance reviews to determine initial or continuing eligibility under one or more of these programs, including protests & appeals.

Qualifications

GS-9: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: demonstrates the ability to assist both English and Spanish speaking customers to verifying employment data, researching and evaluating third party verification reports to determine program eligibility and/or continued program eligibility for small business certification programs; and using a variety of software applications and technologies in all aspects of the job for program eligibility and/or continued program eligibility. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Selective Placement Factors: This position requires a special qualification that has been determined to be essential to perform the duties and will be used as a screen out element. Those who do not provide evidence they possess the following selective factor(s) will be rated not qualified. Incumbent will be required to deal effectively with diverse groups, in various settings, and through multiple communication mediums for the purpose of promotion financial management and technical assistance to new small business markets. Incumbent must have the ability to communicate in English and Spanish, both orally and in writing. All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 02/08/2024.

GS-09: A Master's or equivalent degree from an accredited college or university or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D., if related. Combination of Experience and Education:GS-09: A combination of related graduate education and specialized experience as specified above. For example, an applicant who has 1 full year of master's level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level as described above (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equate to 100% of the required experience for the position. Transcripts (official or unofficial must be submitted in support of this response. If selected, official transcripts will be required.
