This is a regular full-time category position with guaranteed 40 hours per week. Employees appointed to a regular category position are eligible for benefits.
Duties
Plan, organize, develop, implement, and monitor central programs specifically geared for Airman and their families. Develop plans,
Coordinates, and implements recreation and leisure programs and events in accordance with applicable MWR program specific guidelines outlined in AFIs. Programs developed and administered enhance personal and professional development, leisure and
Recreation, and life skills. Programs may be offered as self-directed activities, instructional classes, special interest, community wide events, special events, and co-sponsored events designed to meet the recreation and leisure of eligible personnel to use the facilities. Plans and coordinates reoccurring and non-recurring activities/programs and special/joint community undertakings so as to maximize the use of services and other resources. Monitors, tracks, and reports statistical data to higher echelons using metrics for programs, equipment, classes, etc. implemented AF-wide. Develops and conducts analysis on the overall program. Disseminates program information to stakeholders. Conducts needs and interest assessments to determine programming and instructional class offerings. Develop a plan to compile feedback and after action reports. Provides guidance to installations. Forecasts program income and expenses annually to include supplies, equipment, and instructors by developing a budget. Prepares and justifies an annual budget and financial review. Participates in special projects and initiatives and performs special assignments. Determines appropriate recommendations for unresolved or questionable problems and performs follow-up. Performs other duties as assigned. Position may require TDY travel. Reports to a SVP Branch Chief.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Experience with management principles and/or practices to carry out continuing projects or programs. Must have specialized experience with one or more specific areas of recreation and leisure. Experience identifying significant factors and gather pertinent data as it applies to operating budgets. Must have extensive Microsoft Office product experience. Experience with effectively interacting and dealing with a variety of personnel including high ranking military and civilian personnel. Experience with the use of automation software and related equipment.
