About the Position: Incumbent works under the general supervision of the Supply Management Specialist and is theSupply Specialist for the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization and Security (DPTMS), TrainingDivision, Range Branch.
Duties
Maintains accountability for all non-expendable equipment and re portable expendable property in the hands of government employees and contractors.
Maintains accurate stock records, inventory management control, and cost effective equipment replacement.
Maintains accountability through direct physical inventories and audits of stock records on acyclic basis.
Operates a government vehicle with a gross weight of 2500 lbs. and material handling equipment (10K forklift) to pickup supplies, material, equipment, tools, from supply organizations located in and around the installation and in the local vicinity.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires occasional TDY travel.
- Incumbent must possess and maintain a valid State Driver’s license.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain US Government OF 346 License within 60 days of appointment to operate TMP vehicles.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Forklift Operator’s license up to Class 7 within 60 days of appointment.
- Incumbent must pass a pre-employment physical and annual physical thereafter due to the 50 lb. Lifting requirement.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service which includes directing resources to perform mission related supply functions; recommending supply priorities; reviewing logistical reports and plans for accuracy; and requisitioning, receipting, storing, transporting, and issuing material.
OR
Education: A masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B or J.D.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages.
