This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Protective Service (FPS), Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer (OCHCO). The primary purpose of this position to serve as advisor and responsible official to the Operations Deputy Director, exercising independent judgement and decision making on all related issues, which supports business operational program matters for the covered headquarters operational area. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Duties

As a Program Manager (Business Operations), GS-0340-15, your typical work assignments may include: Interviewing candidates, making recommendations for appointment, promotions or reassignments. Assigning projects with established cost, schedule, functional and technical performance requirements. Planning business processes that affect the agency, particular to human, financial, and physical resources. Developing business operational work plans, distributes, implements policies and procedures. Qualifications

Confidential Financial Disclosure Report: This position's duties and responsibilities require the annual filing of the Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (O.G.E. Form 450) to avoid involvement in a real or apparent conflict of interest. The form must be filed upon entry to the organization and annually thereafter. Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-15 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: Providing expertise to business transformation process; processing, developing, implementing policy and program guidance. Managing, directing, and overseeing budgetary and financial management process; including long-range financial planning. Providing strategic advice to senior leadership on necessary managerial, logistical, and administrative support activities. All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement. Note: Current or former Federal employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment ("position occupied" block 34 on the SF-50 should show a "1"), tenure group (block 24 should show a 1 or 2), grade, and salary.
