The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the point of contact to the squadron commander/director for programs such as task management, cybersecurity liaison, Government Travel Card, Defense Travel System administrator, drug demand reduction, health care, fitness, Government Purchase Card, security, supply, civilian timecard, unit recognition, and Automated Data Processing Equipment accounts.
Duties
Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all administrative support program functions. Administers programs and serves as the primary source of information.
Serves as the resident subject matter expert for all mandated administrative support programs. Ensures unit program compliance with regulations, laws, policies, and squadron commander directives.
Serves as a unit liaison to the military and civilian personnel offices. Assists the commander/director in the performance of administrative functions associated with the supervision of military and civilian employees.
Performs other clerical and administrative work in support of the office/organization. Develops, establishes, updates, and maintains office procedures and records/files of various types to ensure effective and efficient operation of the office.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level (or equivalent in other pay systems) in the federal service in which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience is experience which may have been gained while assisting with administrative support programs to include, but not limited to task management, cybersecurity, travel card program, travel system, drug demand reduction program, health care program, and recognition program. Identifying the basic instructions and procedures to follow from among a few established relevant alternatives. Selecting appropriate action (s) or required (s), considering such matters as: the nature of the task or duty; basic purposes and characteristics of the work units, management analysis or manpower program areas, program operations involved; or readily available sources of information.

EDUCATION: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the organizational and functional responsibilities and operations of an organization.
Knowledge of various office automation software programs, tools, and techniques to support office operations and produce a variety of documents such as letters, reports, spreadsheets, databases, and graphs.
Skill in fact-finding, problem analysis, problem resolutions, and development of concrete action plans to solve problems.
Ability to gather, analyze and present facts, communicate effectively, using tact and courtesy and posses the ability to plan, organize work, and meet deadlines.
Ability to plan and organize management programs and functions of an organization.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
