The primary purpose of this position is to manages the modification, modernization, and sustainment of the command logistics business processes and automated information systems to support sustainment of legacy and new platforms as the process owner providing center level policy, procedures, guidance, and functional systems oversight.
Duties
1. Exercises 1st level technical and administrative supervisory personnel management responsibilities for 25% or more of duty time.
2. Provides support to strategic initiatives and process improvements in order to modernize industrial capabilities and improve depot maintenance performance by maximizing Center's authority for investments.
3. Participates in special logistics management operation projects and initiatives and performs special assignments.
4. Represents the organizations with a variety of forums.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Group Coverage Qualification Standards Administrative and Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-03, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-13 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is described as defining, establishing, and directing organizational focus on challenging and highly complex projects/programs; Identifies and resolves highly complex problems that cross organizational boundaries and promulgates solution; knowledge of depot maintenance processes and procedures. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the applicable logistics management principles, concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of life cycle integrated logistics support.
2. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
4. Ability to identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.
5. Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
6. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
