Duties
Provide general natural resource information, including information related to Wild Horse and Burro programs, to internal/external customers, in person, and in writing, and/or respond to inquiries.
Prepare, edit, and finalize correspondence for Wild Horse and Burro and natural resource programs; monitor status of fleet vehicles usage and maintenance; enter and validate time and attendance records.
Maintain central record filing systems and assists in locating when requested; inventory records for retention and disposal and resolve filing errors.
Ability to use various types of computer programs to maintain and retrieve information from automated applications/data systems.

Qualifications

For GS-06: You must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) in federal service. Specialized experience is further defined as: performing clerical administrative duties; working with the public and providing customer service; maintaining electronic and paper records; skill in computer software programs and experience in data entry.
For GS-07: You must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) in the federal service. Specialized experience is further defined as drafting and editing a variety of business correspondence for proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation; arrange meetings, conferences, and travel documents; purchasing supplies and equipment, verifying transactions, and maintaining receipts; skill in the use of a variety of office automation/software programs.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
