This position is located with Bonneville Power Administration in Critical Facilities O&M (NWFC), NWF (HQ Facilities Operations and Maintenance), Workplace Services (NW), Chief Administrative Office (N).
A successful candidate in the Facility Operations Specialist position will ensure that maintenance, repair, and construction needs are identified and that maintenance has been performed in accordance with established schedules.

As a Facility Operations Specialist, you will:

- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- This position does not support remote work. You will be required to report physically to the official reporting worksite as specified by the supervisor, but no less than 3 days per pay period
- This position requires a valid driver's license as a condition of employment.
- A preliminary background check must be completed before a new employee can begin work. Current Federal employees or other individuals with an existing completed background investigation may not be required to undergo another background check.
- Position may be required to provide 24/7 critical operations to assigned facilities or systems to include on-call duties.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level [GS-11] in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: 1) Identifying potential and existing equipment issues involving mechanical/plumbing systems; (2) initiating corrective action to repair, mitigate and ensure mechanical/plumbing systems equipment is working properly and maintained; (3) monitoring vendor work performance and ensuring the work/services meet established standards; (4) review all technical documentation related to facilities maintenance/operations and suggest recommendations for improvements, edits, and updates.

Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
