Duties
You will Manage Non-appropriated Funds and Appropriated Funds employees (e.g., work schedules, approve leave) to ensure maximum productivity and cost effectiveness.
You will administer and monitor Non-appropriated Funds and Appropriated Funds Recreation Program budgets to ensure requirements are met within fiscal resources.
You will coordinate safety regulations and practices within the fitness, sports and aquatics programs to ensure facilities are in compliance with all Navy equipment and facility standards.
You will evaluate present programming and develop goals/objectives for new and improved programs or services.
You will ensure special event coordination is complete and in compliance with permits, publicity, utilities, amenities, staging, seating, lighting, sound, entertainment, concessions, set-up/breakdown and staffing employees/volunteers.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing and tracking budget submissions and monthly financials for an installation; 2) Utilizing Navy physical fitness standards (e.g., Navy Operational Fitness and Fueling System (NOFFS), Command Fitness Leader (CFL) and Mission Nutrition), to manage intramural sports and aquatics; 3) Supervising personnel in the coordination of an installation's fitness and/or recreation program ; and 4) Performing the development and oversight of self-directed, unit-directed and team-directed recreation activities. 5). Applying in depth knowledge of the science-based fitness, exercise and wellness concepts. 6). Leading a team of fitness professionals and delivering fitness and sports-based programs to target audience, active-duty military. 7). Planning and executing large scale fitness events; managing indoor and outdoor fitness facilities; training a team to deliver quality customer service in a fitness/recreation environment. 8). Advanced degrees, certifications, or training in fitness and wellness concepts.

Education
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related may be substituted for the specialized experience requirement.
