This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Entrepreneurial Development in Washington, D.C. The incumbent will perform data and trend analysis, comprehensive budget management, work supportive of grants management, varied administrative support functions for the office, and other assignments for the SBDC Program.

Qualifications

GS-09: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector that includes: 1.) Assisting in the examination of financial data and records to compile data and draw conclusions; and 2.) Planning and supporting meetings; and 3.) Coordinating travel arrangements and other travel-related paperwork processing. These qualifications must clearly be referenced in your resume. GS-11: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector that includes: 1) Assisting in the financial budgets and formulation of budget estimates; and 2) Serving as a staff coordinator, troubleshooter, and/or liaison; and 3) Identifying issues or problems and seeking alternative solutions consistent with applicable policy and procedures. These qualifications must clearly be referenced in your resume. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 02/12/2024.

Education

Education may be substituted for experience for this position.

GS-11: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. Combination of Experience and Education:
GS-11: Combination of education and experience as specified above. For example, an applicant who has 1.5 full years of Ph.D. level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position.

GS-09: Combination of education and experience as specified above. For example, an applicant who has 1.0 full year of Masters level education (i.e. 50% of education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position.
