The selectee of this position serves as a Lead Human Resources Specialist. You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day Processing team's operation and performance.
Duties
As a Lead Human Resources Specialist at the GS-0201- 13 level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Oversees the process, workflows, and execution of all personnel actions, benefits form, and payroll documents that interface with the National Finance Center (NFC) which involves utilization of NFCs systems (EmplowHR, Epic, SPPS, etc.)
Provide technical training to team members for the accomplishment of individual and team tasks
Provide advice on work methods, practices, and procedures, and assist the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution
Resolve simple, informal complaints of employees and refer others, such as formal grievances and appeals, to the Supervisor or an appropriate management official
Ensure that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team

Qualifications
GS-13 TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 grade level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 grade level. (Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).
You may qualify at the GS-0201-13 level, if you fulfill one of the following qualifications:
One year of full-time specialized work experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing duties such as: 1.) Experience leading a team by managing the timeliness of personnel actions and balancing the workload of a team; 2.) Experience applying a wide-range of Compensation and Benefits concepts, practices, laws, regulations, and policies; 3.) Interpreting and applying pay rules and regulations to identify and resolve pay-setting errors or discrepancies; and 4.) Reviewing payroll actions for accuracy.
