About the Position: This position is for HQDA, DCS G-9, Executive Office located at the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia.
A relocation incentive may be authorized subject to provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations.
Management may select at any of the grade levels announced. This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of the position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management.
Duties
Provide support for all Executive Office administrative operations to the G-9 Staff and subordinate operating agencies.
Review correspondence, provide applicable executive summaries, interpretation of policy implications, or cogent recommendations pertaining to content.
Prepare all personal correspondence for the General Officer.
Prepare briefings, handbooks, reports, slides, forms, correspondence, etc for the Command Group using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Conduct research for developing material for the DCS G-9/Executive Officers use in preparing oral presentations or written material.
Maintain calendar scheduling, travel planning and coordination, and office supply management.
Serve as a focal point for administrative staff integration, taskings, staff coordination, and dissemination of information.
Serve as liaison with dignitaries and staff officials during their visits.

- SECRET CLEARANCE - You must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

GS-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative management support in the form of calendar scheduling and travel planning for senior leadership; drafting or editing documents utilizing Microsoft Office applications; researching data to provide reports; and managing taskings for leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative management support in the form of calendar scheduling and travel planning for senior leadership; reviewing incoming and outgoing correspondence utilizing Microsoft Office applications; office supply management; and timecard submission. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Management.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
