You will serve as a Financial Technician in the Commercial Accounts Division of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
This announcement uses the Certain Personnel of the DoD direct hire authority to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
You will be responsible for processing accounting transactions (i.e. commitments, obligations, asset creation, account payables, and cash payments).
You will Input manual orders into the financial system Navy ERP.
You will review processed transactions to ensure that transaction data is current and accurate in accordance with the FMR/SECNAV procedures..
You will review financial transactions for errors and prepare accurate adjustment transactions in accordance with functional team and Comptroller guidelines.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level FMC01 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
FOR DG-03:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-04/05 grade level or DG-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) providing financial and administrative support;2) executing routine transactional actions; and3) performing administrative and personnel tasks in a team setting.

Completed 4 years above high school
FOR DG-04:
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-05/06 grade level or DG-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:1) providing financial/administrative support and recommendations to various departments with little oversight and direction;2) executing transactional actions, including processing hiring actions, awards, gathering data in response to data calls, administrative support; and3) processing complex administrative and financial documents, in addition to creating reports in Excel; and4) encouraging positive working business relationships with personnel at all levels.

Education
The following education may be substituted for experience:
FOR DG-03 ONLY:
4 years above high school
Successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or the equivalent is the normal prerequisite is creditable at grades GS-3 through GS-5 for all positions except Reporting Stenographer, GS-5. This education must have been obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. One year of full-time academic study is defined as 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or the equivalent in a college or university, or at least 20 hours of classroom instruction per week for approximately 36 weeks in a business, secretarial, or technical school.
