This position serves as a lead program manager for the Office of Airports (ARP), Atlanta Airports
District Office (ADO), San Juan, Puerto, in the Southern Region, in support of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP). The Atlanta ADO serves as the principal Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) organization responsible for all airport program matters in airport design and planning, financial, compliance, airspace, operations and
safety.
Duties
Provides program manager responsibilities within a geographic area. Is a recognized subject matter expert in a specialized area and provides leadership for highly complex and challenging activities under the minimal direction of a manager or executive. May act as a principal specialist to develop new and innovative approaches, methodologies, and/or techniques or as a team leader to define and direct challenging projects/ programs/activities. Shares responsibility for the performance of programs/projects that frequently affect more than one LOB/SO or the FAA as a whole. Works collaboratively with ADO Management, ADO staff, internal and external customers including airport sponsors, Puerto Rico Ports Authority, and the Virgin Island Ports Authority, and both Management and staff across Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Lines of Business to facilitate airport planning and development.

Qualifications
In addition to the basic requirement listed below in the EDUCATION section, to qualify for this position at the FV-I level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-I, FG/GS-13. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.
