This position is located in the Primary Care Service Line for the Fargo VA Health Care System and supports Primary Care Services.

Duties

***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Duties include but may not be limited to: Contacts with top management of this and other government agencies. Professional administrative expertise, mature judgement and the ability to interact with health care leaders in an effective manner. Delegated authority to make decisions and to sign documents of an administrative nature. As a supervisor, is responsible for the direct supervision, development and assessment of assigned personnel. Has non-direct supervisory controls over Primary Care Providers and Compensation and Pension Providers. Provides support to specific primary care programs. Effectively coordinates the administrative functions of Primary Care Services. Develops a team that is technically competent and understands the interrelationship of the service line with other facility service lines. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm Recruitment & Relocation Incentives: May be authorized for highly qualified candidates and will be discussed during interview.

QUALIFICATIONS To apply for this position, you must have the following qualifications: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS 9) in Federal Service that includes performing the following duties: Collaborates with internal/external groups to facilitate program implementation, changes and improvements.; Provides support as well as performing special studies, surveys, projects, planning, and overall management for department programs.; Establishes employee performance plans that align with agency and departmental goals and objectives.; Responsible for timely action and response on all Action Items. (Resume(s) must clearly support the duties and experience required for this position. We will not make assumptions regarding experience.) -OR- SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related -OR- COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED): Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate-level education (beyond 18 semester hours) and specialized experience, as described above, which meet the total experience requirements for this grade level. The education portion must include graduate courses directly related to the work of this position. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Typically, the employee sits at a desk or table with some walking and standing. Items carried typically are light objects and lifting of moderately heavy objects is not normally required. Incumbent is often faced with changing priorities and with meeting deadlines.
