Primary position purpose: Contribute to DoD/AF Reserves (AFR) strategic plan development for comprehensive svcs delivery supporting wing-level psychological program. Provides consultation to operational leaders, direct client svcs, community capacity bldg, preventive/remedial, support svcs, & program mgmt capabilities aimed at improving/sustaining psychological health of AFR military mbrs/families.

Duties

Duty 1: Actively manages the AIR Reserve installation/ Air Force Reserve Wing's (to include Air Force Reserve tenant Wings) Phycological Health Program in support of the commander's leadership team to address the psychological health of their installation/wing. Duty 2: Designs, develops, coordinates, and implements prevention and community outreach and education programs. Duty 3: conducts assessment, routine crisis evaluations, phyco-diagnostic assessments, provides short-term evidence-based problem resolution strategies and services. Duty 4: Responsible for marketing and marketing evaluation actibities.

  • All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
  • Position is designated special-sensitive and incumbent must be able to obtain and retain a TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • PCS will not be authorized.
  • This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
  • This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.

  • Shift work and emergency overtime may be required

Qualifications

This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job. In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of various theories and principles of logistics management and ILS planning and execution. Knowledge of applicable regulations, instructions, policies, procedures, and other guidance related to the life cycle logistics documentation and data creation, management, and control. Knowledge of system life cycle concepts and design as they apply to system research, development, acquisition, and production. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1: Knowledge of professional social work practices, theories, and administrative requirements to be able to apply them in clinical settings, non-clinical settings, and toward effective program management. 2: Knowledge of professional evidence-based treatments, for a full range Psychiatic disorders to plan and provide short-term problem resolution to clients or refer them for clinical treatment. 3: Knowledge of administration, scoring, and interpretation of select psychological and psycho-social measures to properly access patient's and family's needs and capabilities, along with a sophisticated understanding of behavioral risk management and ability to engage appropriate protections when risk to self or others is present. 4: Knowledge of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders to evaluate Psychiatic disorders and apply professional diagnostic skills; in addition, knowledge of complex support systems, such as child and family prevention outreach services, professional organizations, and their management and administration. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
