This position is a Nursing Service position which provides all administrative assistant level support and clerical support for the Home Based Primary Care (HBPC) and Community Health Nurse (CHN) programs. Both programs fall within Geriatrics & Extended Care Service (GEC) for Home and Community Based programs. HBPC provides Primary Care to Veterans in their homes by VA staff. The CHN program coordinates skilled home care through VA authorized contracted home health agencies.
Duties
Duties include but not limited to:
Performing collection, compilation, and/or tracking of data
Planning, reviewing, and reporting of data/statistical results
Complex day to day administrative operations
Comply with patient and service confidentiality
Preparing documents
Provide administrative and management support
Supervise a tracking and monitoring system for patient satisfaction
Quality Improvement philosophy
Demonstrate highly effective interpersonal skills
Work Schedule: Monday thru Friday 07:30am - 4:00pm

Preferred Experience:
Reviews various data sources such as COIN, EPRP, VISN and Infection Surveillance reports; tracks VERA data; organizes computerized data sets using Excel; prepares performance improvement reports; generate workload reports for programs.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-005 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Performing collection, compilation, and/or tracking of data and statistical information; Exercising independent judgment; Demonstrating highly effective interpersonal skills with individuals and groups; Planning, coordinating, and overseeing office support functions such as data management, administrative supplies and equipment; Tracking workload data, and performance measure reports; Maintaining correspondence required for the operation; Budgeting; Utilizing Microsoft Suite; Scheduling meetings, conferences, and maintaining calendars.

Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work.
