This position will provide technical support for NIST's radio station, WWVH, in Kekaha, Hawaii.

Duties

If hired as Electronics Technician for NIST's Time Realization and Distribution Group, you will: provide technical support for the equipment and systems at NIST's radio station, WWVH perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, adjustment, and repairs monitor, document, and report equipment and system performance have a meaningful role in the care of the general facility to ensure a good operating environment work with the engineering leader on the fabrication of new circuits and equipment

Qualifications

Basic Requirements: To qualify, applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-8 (ZT-II at NIST) in federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: experience in the maintenance of electronic equipment experience soldering electronic components, wiring, connectors, and cables experience with the use of schematic diagrams, test equipment, and the application of appropriate electronic formulas OR Two full years of graduate education or a master's degree directly related to the work of the position. OR A combination of experience and education directly related to the work of the position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done. We will credit all qualifying volunteer experience in your application. Education
