About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. Serve as Management Assistant in the South Atlantic Regional Network Enterprise Center-Eustis(RNEC-Eustis).

Duties

Receive office visitors and telephone calls, determining the identity of the caller and general purpose of the call. Attempt to conserve time of superior by encouraging the caller to speak with appropriate staff members. Screen calls and inquiries to select those which can be handled from personal knowledge of program activities, procedures, and requirements but which do not require technical program information. Prepare a variety of recurring and special reports. Research, assemble, and summarize a wide variety of material pertaining to the office functions. Monitor organization actions in responding to and complying with reporting requirements. Perform a variety of analyses in support of office missions. Receive, review, and analyze data to determine completeness and accuracy of reports. Perform the duties and coordinates the following programs: Defense Travel System and Government Travel Credit Card program for the region. Manage the travel credit card program for the region -process applications, monitor account statements and assist card holders and to resolve issues on accounts.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • The incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain the requirements for Secret Clearance
  • T3 Background Investigation, in accordance with AR 25-2, paragraph 4-14, due to the requirement to obtain privileged level access to critical information systems.
  • The employee may be required to work overtime.
  • The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
  • This position may be considered “Mission Essential.
  • In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • The employee may be required to work shift work if the organization moves to a 24/7 operation.
  • Call back and emergency duty are regular requirements of this position.
  • The employee must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
  • Employee is required to maintain a working telephone and/or cellular telephone (government issued) at all times.

Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.
