Duties

You will plan, organize, coordinate and direct overall work activities and personnel in the Water and Wastewater Treatment Unit. You will review and analyze work production records to ensure personnel utilization and resources are cost effective. You will assign and explain work requirements to subordinate supervisors, sets deadlines, establishes priorities and evaluates work in progress to control and reduce cost. You will review completed work assignments to ensure work was accomplished per preset standards. You will ensure employees are trained and developed fairly and equitably, adhering to the principles and concepts of the EEO program always considering actions necessary to achieve Affirmative Action program and other special program objectives. You will develop standards for quality, quantity and spot checks work progress by plant operations, maintenance personnel, and private contractors. You will coordinate repair functions with unit supervisor, requests contractors, and/or installation services for assistance. You will periodically perform inspections to ensure all policies, procedures, and safety measures are being followed. You will make recommendations and issue directives to subordinate supervisors if discrepancies are noted or changes need to be instigated.

  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
