Duties
You will install, modify, and repair new and existing utility, supply, and disposal systems, such as, sewage, water, and gas distribution systems, and fixtures and equipment.
You will work from building plans, blueprints, work orders, and sketches.
You will install and repair low pressure heating and piping systems.
You will install and repair HVAC chilled water and hot water lines.
You will fabricate and install piping systems.
Requirements

- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
Qualifications
The purpose of this position is to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to perform the full performance level of the target trade (Plumber Helper WG-9) through a formal Apprenticeship Program.
At the WG-02 level, you will be assigned to a journey worker who works with and instructs you in performing duties common to the trade in a safe, efficient manner. Detailed instructions are provided on new assignments along with close supervision and detailed review.
Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. (1) Installing, modifying, and repairing various supply, disposal and utility systems and equipment
(2) Align pipes, valves, and fittings to accurately match joints, and to install proper braces and supports to control movement and vibration and allow for expansion and contraction;
(3) Lay out arcs, circles and tangents; use plumbing tools and equipment such as plumb bobs, mercury gauges, dividers, augers, and hydrostatic pumps
