The primary purpose of this position is, as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Enlisted, serve as the subject matter expert for the Services career field within the Force Support Squadron. Manage all Services Prime Readiness in Base Services activities, advises on/provides guidance to leadership. Accomplishes a variety of tasks that result in Services' Unit Type Code ability to perform its wartime mission.
Duties
Plans, organizes, and manages the day-to-do activities of the Services function. Develops goals and objectives, reviews and revises policies, procedures, and mission objectives and implements quality improvements.
Manages the combat readiness of the Sustainment Services Flight. Analyzes the combat capability of the flight through intensive evaluation of training, equipment status, manning, and flight supervision.
Principle advisor to Senior Leadership on all Services Readiness issues. As the day-to-day point of contact for all Services Readiness related issues, provides technical guidance and recommendations to squadron, group, and wing leadership, as well as coordinating with Higher Headquarters.
Acts as Flight Resource Advisor, Wing Lodging Liaison, and Food Service Coordinator. Prepares comprehensive annual budget for training, equipment, and supplies for the flight.
Ensures completion of required administrative duties. Ensures performance reports (Enlisted Performance Reports (EPRs) & Officer Performation (OPRs)), career counseling, and promotions are completed for flight.
Performs supervisory personnel management responsibilities for a small workforce. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work.

- Position may or will require incumbent to Fly in military and/or commercial aircraft in the performance of temporary duty (TDY) assignments
- Required to meet and maintain Air Force Reserve requirements. Incumbent's regular assignments are primarily ART duties: however, the incumbent may be assigned some non-ART duties, generally not to exceed 30 percent of total responsibilities
- Position will require a background security investigation to determine suitability for employment and for a secret security clearance. Incumbent to obtain and retain a secret security clearance.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-09, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes performing readiness management, and associated programs in order to analyze and plan to ensure adequate support; managing impact of variables such as cost, critical personnel qualifications, equipment availability and other issues that influence the course of actions taken in resolving questions or issues; and interpreting readiness management reporting procedures, policies, and directives.

EDUCATION: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., related degree from an accredited college or university (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts).

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirement is at least 100%. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the mission, organization, programs and functions of the flight, to include wartime requirements.
Knowledge and skill in applying analytical, evaluative, and investigative techniques to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of Services deployment operations, programs, and activities.
Knowledge of the laws, regulations, policies, and precedents that affect programs and associated support resources.
Knowledge and understanding of a comprehensive range of staff concepts, objectives, policies, management/ organizational techniques, and military command.
Knowledge of operating programs throughout the wing in order to conduct studies, analyze findings, and make recommendations on substantive operating programs.
Ability to plan, organize, and assign work, and to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Skill and ability to prepare project and staff reports, and to deliver briefings to high-level officials.
Physical Demands: Work is primarily sedentary, although some physical effort or exertion may be required. Extensive walking and standing is required if incumbent is involved in mobility operations, exercises, and deployments. Unique working hours and long periods of overtime are commonly required during mobility operations and exercises.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
