About the Position: This position is with the US Army TMDE Activity (USATA). Serve as an Equipment Specialist in the USATA S-4 with assigned responsibilities for equipment management while exercising technical knowledge of calibration parameters.

Duties

Conduct and/or assist in conducting meetings concerning the availability, development, distribution and status of test, measurement and diagnostic equipment (TMDE). Provide technical direction in the operation, maintenance, and equipment management of Army standards and calibration/repair of assigned mission materiel. Assist in the development of repair parts kits and maintenance support kits to accompany physical, microwave, or electronic calibration standards to the field. Develop and recommend plans and procedures to redistribute and/or reutilize calibration TMDE and relate equipment between various subordinate field support elements. to meet mission requirements. Review, coordinate and implement Materiel Fielding Plans and Materiel Issue Documents for each major item fielded to U.S. army transportation agency.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing calibration of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment (TMDE); conducting or assist in conducting meetings concerning TMDE with stakeholders; and accounting for components of sets, kits or outfits (SKOs). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09 or above). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree with a major study in engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:AccountabilityComputer SkillsOrganizational AwarenessResearch Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
