Duties

-Performs duties as Foreman I Electrician (lead journeyman) for powerplant electricians. -Installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs of supporting facility structures and equipment, e.g., generators, exciters, governor controls, transformers, and power circuit breakers. -Leads and communicates information and instructions to team members. -Writes electrical clearances and request outages. -Monitors and performs electrical maintenance, including application of electrical theory for hydro-electric pump and/or generate powerplant(s). -Interprets and applies information from electrical diagrams, schematics, standard operating procedures, and manufacturer's instructions. -Instructs crew on safety processes and techniques, assigns maintenance management work orders and performs purchasing product specification research.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 02/08/2024.
