About the Position: The incumbent will assist the Chief, Environmental Services Branch at Kimbrough Ambulatory Care Center. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

Responsible for performing Quality Assurance surveillance reporting for Fort George G. Meade MEDDAC and outlying organization clinic buildings. Notifies contractor of deficiencies observed during surveillance and requests appropriate corrective action. Serve as an alternate to the Operations Control Assistant/Motor Vehicle Dispatcher. Ensure the contractor provides the requested corrective actions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 1 security investigation or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• Incumbent must submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I Confidential Financial Disclosure Reports) upon entering and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Reg., dated 11-17-11.
• Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver's license to obtain Government driver's certification to operate government vehicle, i.e. sedan.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with maintaining the cleanliness of a hospital; assisting with the managing and directing of the day-to-day operations of laundry and/or linen functions; and general experience assisting with medical waste. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
