About the Position: Serves as a Management and Program Analyst for the Security Assistance Management Directorate (SAMD). Responsible for performing reviews and analysis of human capital programs and accomplishing the goals and objectives of assigned programs.
Duties
Provide advice on all manpower staffing concern to include assessments, recommendations for personnel actions, and advising leadership on various personnel programs.
Advise Leadership on Intern Program requirement including Pathways and ACTEDs.
Review reports to determine what appropriate changes or corrective action is required.
Prepare a variety of reports covering Intern program status.
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance during the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience which includes controlling and monitoring personnel strength in accordance with current manpower allocations by ensuring Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) records are accurate; updates and distributes personnel reports on program status to Command level budget staff and organization leadership; initiates, monitors, and tracks to completion all requests related to human capital program, personnel program and intern program such as Pathways, ACTEDS/Fellows and Recent Grads on non-comp personnel actions (RPAs) such as recruit fill, promotions, and reassignments; conducting program analyses and evaluation of quantitative and qualitative effectiveness of program operations; and reviews and maintains human resources information using various personnel system databases such as DCPDS, CSU and FASCLASS. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
