This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Monitor contractors to ensure the coordination of projects meet the required integration of work in other engineering disciplines with appropriate personnel.
Serve as point of contact for a variety of service contracts and single task delivery order projects.
Conduct sampling plans and surveillance procedures, procedures checklists, and other guidelines for use in monitoring contractor performance.
Analyze existing systems, isolates, and defines problem areas and develops solutions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a favorable National Agency Check (NACI) with inquiries.
- A pre-employment medical examination is required and annual physicals.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450.
- If you are a new employee or supervisor in the Federal Government, you may have to complete a one-year probationary period. Some agencies may require a longer probationary period and other agencies may not require it at all.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized experience is defined as: One year of specialized experience which includes demonstrated experience 1) developing contract performance work statements and estimates; 2) identifying preventive maintenance requirements for facilities, equipment, and systems; 3) operating a variety of computer programs and Microsoft applications. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next (second) lower level/grade position in the federal service (GS-08)
