This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This position is located with the Directorate of Public Works at Fort Riley, KS.
Duties
Provide real property management support services pertaining to the acquisition, management, and disposal of land, buildings, facilities, and other related infrastructure.
Inspect buildings, structures, and other real property within the installation on a regular basis.
Maintain the automated installation’s Inventory of Military Real Property and the Real Property Asset folders for Fort Riley.
Review a variety of real property documents in order to determine if changes to facilities will change the Real Property Inventory on that facility.
Use GFEBS (General Fund Enterprise Business System) to update facility data and reconciles database errors.
Prepare real estate transaction documentation such as renewal requests for in-grants and out-grants (permits, license, leases, easements, etc.).
Review and respond to individuals and/or groups requesting assistance with Installation Real Property.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires a state driver's license.
- TDY 5% may be required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience using regulations, rules, processes, and procedures related to the management and updating of real property records, inventories, and reports; processing real property transactions; conducting inspections of buildings or spaces; and preparing reports of real property data for the organization's use. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education: One full year of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Business Administration or Real Estate. (NOTE: You must submit your transcripts).
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. (NOTE: You must submit your transcripts).
In addition to the requirement above, you must also meet the following requirement:
Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute sample with three or fewer errors.
Education
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
