About the Position: The position requires knowledge of general lease acquisition and appropriate real estate regulations, procedures and policy and performs a number of administrative functions. The incumbent works under the general supervision of the Real Estate Branch Chief.

Duties
Serves as Senior Realty specialist for one or more of the Realty Program Management Areas Program responsibility includes real estate management of Army, Air Force and civil works properties,
The position coordinates and integrates the Realty Management program for real property assets within those areas consisting of buildings, facilities and waterways as well as unimproved lands.
Activities include, in addition to normal out-granting procedures, administration of commercial concession marinas, and extensive agricultural and grazing lease program and E.O.12512 Land Utilization Surveys.
The Realty Management program includes sale of buildings and other removable "real estate" as well as congressionally authorized authority to dispose of land,
Makes improvements in support of the Base Closure and Realignment Act (BRAC) (PL 100-526).
As senior Realty Specialist serves as primary POC, providing technical expertise for the District's Property Acquisition, Management and Disposal Programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes extracting data from real estate databases (such as RFMIS and REMIS) to determine real estate project requirements; and negotiating and issuing acquisitions, outgrants, and leases.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
