Salary: $114 970 - 167 336 per year

Duties

As an Information Specialist, you will: - Assist the Multifamily Operations Officer in ensuring that information related activities are prioritized and scheduled; that activities are scheduled or reassigned as appropriate; that data systems and automated reporting systems are in place and accurate to assure work items can be tracked and analyzed; that actions are taken to enhance program results; that operations are adjusted when necessitated by changing demand and or reduction in resources and that accurate and timely reporting of operations and activities are accomplished. - Assist the Operation Officer in the implementation of goals by developing a systematic and practical approach for gathering and entering planning data, providing data, providing coding procedures (revising or developing new procedures where required), developing uniform data flow for Regional Center providing support and guidance to the project teams or technical advisory and programmatic staff. Assists in developing a comprehensive system to monitor and report overall office accomplishments and attainment of DAS Goals on a regular basis, analyze performance data and advise the Operations Officer of problem areas and conduct orientation to Systems users as needed. Assists in developing methods of presenting Management Plan data using the management plan for the main data bases and any subsequent system i.e., Tracs, Sections 8 MIS, AMPS and FOMNS so that the Regional Center has a weekly record of goal accomplishment reflected by Office input. This enables the Regional Center to be updated and to make corrections in the various data bases to ensure that monthly management goals balances are accurate. - Monitor data quality on a regular periodic routine basis on behalf of the Multifamily Regional Center to assure that the housing data information received is accurate, quality, complete and timely. Develop and implement Data Quality Assurance Plans. - Develop and ensure utilization of appropriate tools and procedures to accomplish data quality monitoring in conjunction with Regional Center staff or Management Information Division; providing Regional Center with documentation on locally developed tools and procedures and training Regional Center employees in the use of HUD database systems.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Planning, developing, and implementing projects involving management of information systems; AND - Providing technical assistance to management on management information system applications; AND - Preparing reports by analyzing and extracting information from multiple data sources. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
