Duties
As a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor your duties are but not limited to:
Plans, estimates, and schedules maintenance, repair and rehabilitation, new construction, cyclic, fee demonstration, special project, and recurring work in the general maintenance of administrative buildings, seasonal and permanent housing units, utilities facilities, grid and off grid electrical, potable water and wastewater treatment systems throughout the East District.
Manages Denali's solid waste removal and recycling programs, electrical system maintenance water lab, park lock system, and operation, maintenance, and repair of the gas, diesel, propane, and aviation fueling systems.
Oversees and supervises a work force of subordinate employees to accomplish work performed on buildings (historic and non-historic) and structures to include carpentry, building preservation, painting, electrical generation, distribution and building systems, heating and ventilation work, water and waste treatment facilities. Assigns work to be done by subordinate employees on a day-to-day basis.
Works closely with the Park's Engineer in design and preparation of drawings and construction documents for new construction, remodeling, historic preservation and utility repairs and upgrade projects. Also works closely with concessionaire's infrastructure, buildings and campgrounds, and oversees the coordination and operation of utility services provided.
Develops and follows business plans for facility operations and implements competitive programs to achieve park and program goals. Responsible for planning, budgeting, tracking and estimating the work functions and conditions of assets maintained by the building's operation through various data management programs.
