This position will be assigned to the JBSA Randolph School Age Program
This is a flexible category position with no guaranteed hours, may work up to 40 hrs/wk. Scheduled as needed. Employees appointed to a flexible (intermittent) category position are not eligible for benefits.
Must be able to lift or move objects weighing up to 40lbs. Must be able to continuously stand and walk and frequently stoop, reach, push and bend for long periods of time.
Duties
Operates and performs operator maintenance on one or more vehicles to include: platform trucks, van trucks, stake trucks, dump trucks, ambulances, passenger door shuttle van and cargo vans with gross weight of more than 10,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds. Operates vehicle through all kinds of traffic, or over rough terrain, depending on the type of vehicle being operated. Loads and unloads cargo by hand. Exercises caution in preventing overloading and in securing cargo to prevent damage or loss in transit and for the safety and comfort of passengers. Determines shortest and safest routes. Observes safety rules, regulations, and posted traffic controls and highway guide signs. Washes vehicles. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to be able to obtain, maintain, and provide evidence of current immunizations this includes annual influenza vaccinations and be free of all communicable diseases.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and CDL.
- This position has physical requirements which require the incumbent to complete a favorable pre-employment physical. Must be able to lift 40lbs.
- This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent will be subject to random testing for drug use. Must have a valid driver's license.
- This position requires satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks in accordance with Air Force and DoD policy, and a Child Care Tier 1 background investigation.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying Experience:
Must have skill in maneuvering and driving vehicles weighing more than 10,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds. Must have knowledge of sizes and weights of vehicles. Must be able to obtain a Commercial driver's License (CDL) if transporting 16 or more passengers, including the driver.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):
1. Skilled in maneuvering and driving vehicles weighing more than 10,000 pounds and up to 26,000 pounds.
2. Knowledge of sizes and weights of vehicles.
