Duties

This is a developmental position to Waiter, NA-7420-03, PD#AK079. As a trainee, develops skills and knowledge as a dining room and cocktail lounge, and a family type restaurant environment waiter/waitress. Takes orders placed by guest for alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and food items from menus. Required to be fully familiar with all food items available and all beverage items available for guest consumption Collects cash or payment by credit card and maintains sales record. Clean, reset and arrange tables as required. Remove used glassware, china, and silverware to steward area for cleaning. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• A one year probationary period may be required.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Willing to complete food sanitation and safety training within the first thirty (30) days of employment and on an annual basis thereafter.
• Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment for selling and serving alcoholic beverages (18 years of age).
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para. 2.
• Incumbent may be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to Federally controlled facilities.

Qualifications

Must meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic beverages at the time of appointment; The State of Washington requirement is 18 years or older. Possess basic math skills necessary to compute patron bills and make change. Able to communicate effectively in English. NOTE: Experience must be reflected on the resume submitted at the time of application.
