About the position: This position will be assigned to the Little Rock AFB, AR - Marketing.
This is a regular fulltime position is guaranteed a minimum of 35 hours but can be scheduled to a maximum of 40 hours per week.
Duties
Provides marketing functional services under general supervision of the Marketing Director. Duties include determining marketing techniques and strategies to increase efficiency, enhance participation, and community awareness of all FSS programs. Conducts media relations, commercial sponsorship and assists in the planning of special events. Conducts Commercial Sponsorship and Commercial Advertising. Compiles list of viable annual events and programs to seek commercial sponsorship. Develops solicitation packet and solicits sponsorship from local, regional, national and international sponsors. Negotiates mutually beneficial sponsorship terms and executes all supporting documents. Coordinates with the installation's Staff Judge Advocate to ensure terms of each sponsorship agreement follows all procedural guidance, regulations and policies. Ensures AF and sponsor compliance with sponsorship agreement. Attends events and serves as point of contact for sponsors at event. Compiles and provides sponsor with copies of subsequent publicity and develops a propriate thank you letter and after action report. Stays current on all aspects of administration of the Commercial Sponsorship and Advertising program. Identifies advertising vehicles to market under marketing program. Develops pricing and rate structure or paid advertising in Services publications, point of sale venues and collateral materials such as placemats, bowling center scoring screens and golf course tees. Negotiates terms of advertising agreement and executes all supporting documents. Tracks payment of advertising to ensure proper accountability and credit to Services Fund. Stays current on all aspects of administration of the marketing program. Assists the Marketing Director in maintaining oversight of all publicity, promotion and public relations for Force Support Squadron activities. Serves as representative to community and briefs media on programs and activities and their impact on civilian community. Identifies potential problems in meetings requirements and resolves and/or proposes possible modifications or solutions to event sponsor/proponent. Coordinates with outside activities as needed, and ensures modifications are incorporated into the plans. Assists in strategic planning initiatives and measures for the success of events and activities. Performs first level supervisory personnel management for the marketing staff during the absence of the Marketing Director. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Progressively responsible administrative, professional, technical or other work which has provided a general knowledge of marketing/commercial sponsorship principles and practices. Applicant must have two years specialized experience gained in a commercial marketing or advertising agency. A degree in Business Management, Marketing or related field may be substituted for the required two years of experience or a combination or both. Specialized experience must demonstrate the applicant's ability to plan and implement new and unique programs without benefit of established criteria; compose written material and conduct verbal/oral presentations; solicit and negotiate sponsorship agreements; develop advertising copy.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
