Duties

You will assist higher graded project managers or work under supervisory guidance on minor projects and permit processing activities. You will provide assistance to applicants; prepare correspondence and public notices. You will collect, sort and organizes data on environmental assessments. You will assist or work independently to provide data for the preparation of various projects or studies. You will gather and evaluate biological data from prescribed sources, and utilize it to accomplish assigned tasks.

Requirements

Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:
  • Completion of 1 academic year of post-high school study
Applicants must also be enrolled in an ACADEMIC DISCIPLINE THAT RELATES TO THE POSITION (I.E. ENGINEERING/IT) related field. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

The required education must lead to a bachelor's degree with specialization in or directly related to the field in which the student trainees will receive training on the job. The degree of specialization in this field must satisfy on graduation the specific educational requirements in the qualification standard for the corresponding two-grade interval positions.
