DON Pathways Internship Program This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Interested applicants must follow the directions in the "How to Apply" section of this flyer to be considered. There may or may not be actual vacancies filled from this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer.

Duties

You will begin all responsibility statements with 'You will'; each field should have no more than one sentence; list the You will be developing, maintaining and updating databases and spreadsheets. You will be preparing graphs, charts or tables. You will be applying basic formulas to routine calculations. You will be searching reports or contacting organizations to obtain data/information. You will be compiling information and generating reports for end users. You will be tracking project execution and status.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate you have completed one full academic year of post-high school study. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.

Education

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual:

• Completion of 1 academic year of post-high school study

Applicants must also be enrolled in an ACADEMIC DISCIPLINE THAT RELATES TO THE POSITION (I.E. ENGINEERING/IT) related field. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.

The required education must lead to a bachelor's degree with specialization in or directly related to the field in which the student trainees will receive training on the job. The degree of specialization in this field must satisfy on graduation the specific educational requirements in the qualification standard for the corresponding two-grade interval positions.
