The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as Assistant to the Installation Deployment Officer (AIDO)/Plans and Integration section validating/deciminating deployment requirements to base units in support of the Wing Commander. Lead the Wing as the Base Support and Expeditionary (BaS&E) planning and site manager.

Duties

Serves as the Assistant to the Installation Deployment Officer (AIDO). Serves as the 47 FTW Base Support and Expeditionary (BaS&E) planning program manager. Serves as the 47 FTW UTC Availability (UTA) program manager. Serves as the Alternate Security Manager for the unit.

  • Incumbent must complete or have completed the 2G0X1 CDC course by in-residence.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Travel and relocation expenses will NOT be paid.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-06, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of logistics management principles, concepts, policies, Air Force Instructions, logistics functions, programs and systems applicable to the duties of this position. Knowledge and skill in managing the support agreement program. Knowledge in budgeting regulations and procedures for providing procedural guidance on support agreement reimbursements and forecasting/managing treaty related expenditures. FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-06 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of logistics management principles, concepts, policies, Air Force Instructions, logistics functions, programs and systems applicable to the duties of this position. Knowledge of UTC Availability (UTA) Tool reporting program, DoD, AF policies, procedures pertaining to program compliance, Logistics Module, Base Support and Expeditionary (BaS&E) policies and system functionalities. Knowledge and skill in managing the support agreement program. Knowledge in budgeting regulations and procedures for providing procedural guidance on support agreement reimbursements and forecasting/managing treaty related expenditures. Must be knowledgeable with the Bureau of the Fiscal Service G-Invoicing (GINV) to effectively and efficiently manage Intragovernmental (Intragov) buy/sell transactions between two federal agencies, from the agreement of the General Terms and Conditions (GT&Cs). Knowledge of contractual processes, procedures, and technical requirements. Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate an installation program to assess requests for various support services and coordinate with appropriate host organizations; to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for money, manpower, materiel, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the participants involved in developing the agreement. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Knowledge of personnel security clearances and investigation processes. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
