You will serve as a MATERIALS EXPEDITER LEADER in the NUCLEAR ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT, NUCLEAR MATERIAL MANAGER, NUCLEAR MATERIAL SUPORT BRANCH (Code 2305.2) of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will receive, store, issue, inventory, ship and maintain all designated material managed by the nuclear material support division.
You will plan, schedule, expedite and coordinate receipt, custody, and issue of all materials within one or more work sites and warehouses and develop warehousing plans to accommodate materials received.
You will examine items received to verify part numbers, identity, and quantity with routing documents, checks for discrepancies such as un-tagged parts attached or unreported damage.
You will prepare material requisitions for parts and materials required in support of production shop work requirements based on request of shop supervisors and from examination and evaluation of material coordination lists.
You will document any discrepant condition and initiate Supply Deficiency Reports (SDR), Deficiency Reports (DR), Stand Alone Receipt Inspection Deficient Log (RIDL) as required for resolution of discrepancies.
You will ensure delivery of material to production and kitting centers in accordance with production work schedules.
You will maintain accountability for hazardous material, to ensure the appropriate hazardous material databases are updated.
You will maintain optimum inventory accuracy to support production work, and perform and/or assist with the physical inventory of materials as required.
You will ensure accurate and timely processing of computer transactions for the receipt, inspection, storage, issue, excess and disposal of material via various databases.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
Qualifications
