This position is located in the DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY (DHS), UNITED STATES COAST GUARD (USCG), DEPUTY COMMANDANT FOR MISSION SUPPORT (DCMS), ASSISTANT COMMANDANT FOR ACQUISITION (CG-9), DIRECTOR OF ACQUISITION PROGRAM EXECUTIVE OFFICER (CG-93), ACQUISITION PROGRAM MANAGER C4ISR (CG-933), Washington, DC.
Duties
This position serves as a Deputy Assistant Program Executive Officer for the Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, and Intelligence (C5I) domain at Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- Employment and Financial Interest Statement is required.
- Must have DHS Senior Level PM Cert or be able to obtain within 18 months.
Qualifications
To be considered at the GS-15 level: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Specialized experience includes:
conducting and/or directing and managing research and/or analysis of problems, issues, or program requirements, applying advanced techniques to interpret meaning, evaluating findings; and reconciling conflicts between basic policies and programs goals; initiating, directing, managing and/or leading complex assignments of a unique or first-time basis, involving the most difficult problems and complex issues related to acquisition programs;
planning and organizing special projects and leading multi-disciplines teams in conducting complex acquisition management studies and technical reviews;
using advanced qualitative and/or quantitative methodologies; and
preparing and contributing to reports and other presentations to high level audiences on acquisition program planning and evaluation

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
