The position is established to perform clerical processing operations related to the prompt and systematic flow of material between the originator and the ultimate receiver. Performs a full range of standard and non-standard clerical assignments and resolves a variety of non-recurring problems relative to mail management. Employee is responsible for driving a light vehicle (light truck, van or station wagon) in picking up and delivering mail.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must (1) meet the Education Requirement for the series, (2) provide a copy of transcripts for verification, AND (3) meet either the education or experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration.To qualify on Education, you must have: To qualify on Experience, you must have one year of specialized experience equal or equivalent to the following:
To qualify for GS-05: 4 years above high school specialized experience. You can also qualify based on a combination of education and experience.
Experience in processing and handling mail by applying general policies and regulations; delivering correspondence and mail; processing mail by operation automated machinery; researching and identifying undeliverable mail discrepancies; and completing and maintaining log reports.
