You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Program Management Office of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will write logistical data report to defend and support concepts or projects. You will coordinate integrated logistical support (ILS) plans to support the activities of equipment and systems throughout the life-cycle. You will analyze logistics procedures to support and sustain aircraft systems products. You will analyze data to improve execution of integrated logistics support and readiness.   • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Qualifications for GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Directing, managing, and performing Logistics Supportability Analysis (LSA) of assigned aircraft and/or weapons system components and documents the results in the Logistics Information (LMI) database. 2) Developing, reviewing, and sustaining the maintenance planning and/or and Logistics Program Data (LPD) products for assigned aircraft and/or components. 3) Researching and evaluating engineering modifications for technical impact on all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements.4) Providing logistics support for new acquisition development and for design modifications of fielded aircraft weapon systems, sub-systems and equipment. 5) Developing high-level table relationships utilizing, PowerLog J, and Eagle Logistics Management Information (LMI) software, to include: operations and maintenance requirements, reliability/availability/maintainability, task analysis and support requirements, and support equipment. 6) Appropriately and accurately documenting maintenance processes and requirements in order for the Fleet to carry out assigned maintenance tasks and enable the achievement of aircraft and/or weapons system readiness goals Qualifications for GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: 1) Performing Logistics Supportability Analysis (LSA) of assigned aircraft and/or weapons system components and documents the results. 2) Sustaining the maintenance planning and/or Logistics Program Data (LPD) products for assigned aircraft and/or components. 3) Producing ad-hoc or any of the 48 standard Logistics Supportability Analysis (LSA) reports. 4) Providing logistics support for acquisition development and for design modifications of fielded aircraft weapon systems, sub-systems and equipment. 5) Documenting maintenance processes and requirements in order for the Fleet to carry out assigned maintenance tasks. Education

Qualifying Education for GS 11:

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a PH.D or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a such a degree
OR

OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
