About the Position: This position is with the 63rd Readiness Division, Emergency Prep Liaison Office with duty at Grand Prairie, Texas.

Duties

Serve as primary advisor for matters involving personnel training, and the planning and preparedness to support domestic emergencies and natural disasters. Coordinate with Federal, State and local executives along with foreign partners and non-governmental agencies in response to requests for military assistance. Represent the command at various related forums. Coordinate with other agencies and services to establish policies and procedures. Serve as technical advisor across multi-domain environments including cyber and space for matters related to Homeland Defense Programs. Evaluate emergency response operations to ensure effectiveness of programs and plans. Develop informational briefs and related materials. Develop policies and procedures to support and standardize the Defense Support to Civil Authorities function.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is subject to 24-hour recall to perform emergency response duties and may include duty on weekends or nights to support training for or during actual emergency operations.
  • This position requires you to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
