About the position: This position will be assigned to the 47th Force Support Squadron, located at the Losano Fitness center on Laughlin AFB, Del Rio, Texas.
This position is considered Regular Part Time (RPT). Guaranteed 20-34 hours a week with potential to a maximum of 40 hours per week. You may be required to work nights, weekends and holidays. RPT employees are eligible to earn annual and sick leave as well as benefits including Health/Dental and Life Insurance, 401k and Retirement.
Duties
Manages all aspects of the base adult sports program to include intramural, extramural, varsity, and sports official's contracts. Provides oversight to sports officials, score keepers. Sets up gymnasium and playing base for sports events, tournaments and practice games. Conducts and documents weekly inspections of all adult sports equipment, fields, and facilities to ensure they are maintained in safe condition. Develops annual sports plan. Develops sports by laws. Coordinates programs with Fitness and Sports Advisory Council. Plans, organizes, and administers recurring and nonrecurring activities, special events, and joint military and civilian community events. Determines adequacy of facilities, identifies additional needs, and recommends facility construction/alterations and renovation projects.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must have at least 1 year experience in planning and implementing a working familiarity with routines and procedures follows by group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment and/or individual and team sports. Must possess current American Red Cross Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or American Hearts Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and first aid certification or be able to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
