About the Position: Editor, Army Sustainment Magazine, receives direction and general supervision and reports directly to the Civilian Deputy to the President, Army Sustainment University (ASU), with direct access to the President and the Chairman of the Board of Directors, and executes the publishing mission under a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Board of Directors and the Army Logistics University.

Duties

Serves as an editor for the Army Sustainment Magazine. Responsible for all aspects of the annual commercial design and print contracts. Plans, organizes, directs, manages, and supervises the development, production, and distribution of Army Sustainment Magazine, the Department of the Army's official logistics periodical.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
