About the Position:
This position is located in Peachtree Georgia in the Office of the Director Equal Employment Opportunity Programs Case Management Branch - Informal.
The main function of this position is to provide Federal sector EEO counseling to complainants.
This position is not covered by a bargaining unit.
Duties
Provide federal sector EEO guidance to employees, supervisors and managers.
Assist with delivering federal sector EEO Training to personnel.
Conducts EEO Counseling in accordance with 29 CFR 1614 and Management Directive 110.
Compile reports and analyze statistical data from the complaint program.
Researches and interprets EEO case law and regulations to provide appropriate analysis and guidance.
Drafts acceptance and dismissal allegations for formal complaint investigation.
Reviews investigative plans and Reports of Investigation for technical sufficiency.
Follows all identified responsibilities under 29 CFR 1614, the Federal Sector EEO Program.
Requirements
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Requirement.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- One year trial or probationary period may be required.
- Appointment subject to a suitability/fitness determination, as determined by a background investigation.
- You may be required to sign a transportation agreement.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing technical federal sector Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) advice to employees, supervisors, and/or managers; drafting sound analytical decisions supported by EEO case law; and conducting EEO counseling. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
