Duties
A GS-2130-9, TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST:
Requirements
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.

Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE:
Experience that provided a general knowledge and under-standing of traffic or transportation programs or operations.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must have at least 24 months of experience, education, or training, involving the movement of freight or passengers and determining transportation and operating costs. Experience participating in the direction and coordination of traffic management functions. Experience interpreting and providing routine advice on carrier tariffs and related routing guides. Interpreting regulations/requirements and developing local policies to implement changes effectively. Experience applying applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures. Experience preparing reports and recommendations involving appeals, special permits, adjustments in rates and charges. Experience which involved negotiations with carriers on individual shipments or traffic movement. Experience in making effective presentations both orally and in writing. 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade.
Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience:
